Alumni supporting the Science Olympiad team

By the end of their experience at NPES, our eighth graders move on to attend some of the best high schools in the Chicago area. In recent years, large percentages of our students move on to the selective enrollment public schools, such as Northside College Prep, Walter Payton, Lane Tech, Jones College Prep and Whitney Young. Many have enrolled in the baccalaureate program at Lincoln Park High School. And some move on to elite private high schools, such as St. Ignatius, Loyola Academy, and the University of Chicago Lab School.

We stay in touch with our alumni through high school and even into college and beyond. The friendships our students make can last a lifetime. Our staff tries to help this along, with social networking and special events. And every spring we hold Alumni Day, inviting our former students to visit and see how things are going at the old schoolhouse.
