Lunch and Recess

 Hot-Lunch Program

NPES offers a flexible hot-lunch program that is catered by Gourmet Gorilla, a local non-profit that is committed to using organic and locally grown food. The cost is $5 per lunch. A lunch menu is provided each month detailing the lunches on offer. Families decide the day of, whether to pack a lunch or turn in a lunch ticket.

Recess every day

NPES students enjoy recess in our playlot before lunch for 20 minutes every day supervised by staff and volunteer parents. Recent studies commend the benefits of having recess before lunch [link to New York Times Article] for its tummy-ache reducing effects among other things.
