Go to www.mycokerewards.com/schools to enter the rewards codes that you find on Coca Cola products, and designate the points to North Park Elementary School. You can help NPES earn points towards receiving footballs, basketballs, tempera paint and more.

Clip and turn in BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION.

Find the familiar 10¢ Box Tops coupon on hundreds of products from General Mills, Ziploc and Kleenex products. Clip them, put them in an envelope and bring them to school. (Remember to ask relatives or friends to clip them, too!) If you wish, you can also shop online at the Box Tops Marketplace and apply for and use the Box Tops Visa card. TerraCycle

To date the NPES community has collected 536 drink pouches, 241 Kashi packages/wrappers, and 230 energy bar wrappers, earning just over $20 for the school. Next year the school hopes to bring in at least $100 for the school just by collecting trash. It is important to remember that the real benefit to this program is in maintaining a cleaner environment by keeping these things out of landfills. Be sure to continue to collect the following Terracycle recyclables during the summer:

• Kashi Packages: All Kashi bar wrappers and Kashi boxes (such as crackers, cereal or frozen entrees) are accepted. The boxes should be carefully flattened.
• Energy Bar Wrappers: Foil-lined energy bar, granola, or cereal bar wrappers (no candy bar wrappers) are accepted.
• Drink Pouches: Please slit the bottom, rinse out (removing the straw) and let dry before

depositing in the school collection bin. NPES will receive $0.02 for every Honest Kids and Capri Sun drink pouch and $0.01 for every other type of pouch.

PADDY O'SPLAINES

Now when you eat at Paddy O'Splaines (the restaurant at 2434 W. Montrose Ave), 5% of your total purchase will benefit the school. This is a great ongoing fundraising opportunity. Just be sure to say that you're with NPES!

Use GoodSearch for your Internet searching

GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that donates half its revenue -- about a penny per search -- to charities. Use it just as you would any search engine (it's powered by Yahoo!). Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter North Park Elementary School (in Chicago!) as the charity you want to support. We've raised more than $77 - those pennies add up. If all of us used it four times a day to do searches, we could raise $3600 in a year.

Sign up for Dominck's eScript fundraising partnership.

Pick up a Fresh Values card at Dominick's if you do not have one already. Register the number online at www.escrip.com. Dominick's will contribute up to 4% of your purchases to NPES every time you shop and present your Dominick's Fresh Values card. (There are many North Park Elementary Schools listed, be sure you sign up for North Park Elementary School at 2017 W. Montrose)

Use Innisbrook.com for gift shopping

Sure, it's one of our major fundraisers at the beginning of the year, but you can purchase wrapping paper and other items such as chocolates, candles, magazines and more online any time. Go to www.innisbrook.com. Before you shop, you will be asked to provide a school number so that Innisbrook can credit NPES with up to 50% of your total purchase cost. The number for North Park is 102483. Plug it in each time you shop.

Don't throw it away, eBay!

Got stuff you want to dump, but don't want it to go into a landfill? NPES can benefit by selling your old comics and records, that treadmill you swore you'd use (but didn't), or the expensive designer shoes you bought for a wedding and won't wear again. Fill out the form (available on the NPES Web site) and bring your item(s) to school. They will then be sold online and you'll get a receipt sent to you after the sale for tax purposes. (We've even sold a car!!)

If you're already eBay savvy and just want to donate a portion of your sale to school, go to http://givingworks.ebay.com/sell/ and post your item as you normally would. There's a section where you have the ability to pull down a charity -- identify North Park Elementary School in Illinois. The percentage you wish to donate will be credited to us and a check will be sent to NPES.

To date, we've raised over $3337.50 by selling items on eBay and we have a 100% positive feedback record.
