What are the times of the school day?

Students who arrive more than 15 minutes before classes begin go to Before School Care. Students are allowed to go to their classes/lockers to unpack at the following times:

What if I need to drop off my child earlier or pick him/her up later? 

Before/After-School Care is available from 7:30 until school starts and 3:30 to 5:45 p.m.

If you are bringing students in multiple grades to school, please drop off all students at the time given for the oldest student. Students who arrive at school before 8:00 a.m. are required to sign in for Before-School Care, unless they are supervised by a parent/guardian.  The charge for Before/After-School Care is $6.00 per hour.

How is drop off and Pick up handled?

NPES has a “kiss-n-drive” drop off policy where 7-8th grade students serve as safety patrol during pick up and drop off.  

When is tuition due?

Tuition is due on the first of every month.  Parents make payments for tuition and fees directly to Smart Tuition through their family account.   Smart Tuition assesses a $40 late fee for payments received after the due date.

What after school activities are available to students?

NPES offers an array of before and after school activities to students including band, hip hop dance, Model UN, computer coding, fencing, to name a but few.  Learn more about the opportunities available.  

What happens if school is cancelled for snow or other inclement weather?

Every parent will receive an email and a text message when school is cancelled for inclement weather. Additionally, we will post the information on our website and on every news outlet.

is lunch provided?

Students in PreK through -8th grade may bring lunch from home.  NPES also offers hot and cold lunches through a catering company called Gourmet Gorilla.  All recipes are taste-tested by kids during school visits by Gourmet Gorilla staff.  To order lunches, visit and enter NPES school code NO108.  Hot and cold lunches need to be ordered by Wednesday evening for delivery during the following week.   

do you offer child care on days when there is no school? 

On days when school is not held, we may offer Adventure Days. On Adventure Days, students visit all sorts of fun area attractions, supervised by NPES staff.   The charge for Adventure Days varies depending on activity but generally is around $50 per child.
