The NPES Alumni Golf Outing has quickly become a favorite tradition, bringing together alumni students, current and former parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends of the school for a day of fun, fellowship, and philanthropy.

At our 2nd Annual NPES Alumni Golf Outing, held on May 29, 2026, more than 30 golfers gathered at Tam Golf Course for a beautiful day on the greens. Participants enjoyed a 9-hole scramble followed by a reception at Howard Street Inn, creating opportunities to reconnect with old friends, make new connections, and celebrate the enduring spirit of the NPES community.

Hosted by the NPES Alumni Committee, the event benefits the NPES Financial Aid Program, which helps ensure that deserving students have access to the exceptional educational opportunities and supportive community that define North Park Elementary School. Through the generosity of our golfers, sponsors, and donors, the outing helps strengthen our commitment to providing need-based tuition assistance to families while fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all who participated and to our event sponsors, including Compass Transportation, Crew Landscape, and Deconstruct Architecture, for helping make the day a success. We are also grateful to the members of the Alumni Committee and the many volunteers whose efforts continue to grow this event year after year.

What began as a new alumni initiative has quickly become a meaningful NPES tradition - one that strengthens community connections while supporting future generations of Sharks.

ABOUT THE NPES FINANCIAL AID PROGRAM

North Park Elementary School is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment where all students can thrive. The NPES Financial Aid Program provides need-based tuition assistance for students entering kindergarten through 8th grade, ensuring that more families have access to the exceptional education and community NPES offers.

Recipients of financial aid receive the Lynn Lawrence Financial Aid Award, honoring Lynn's invaluable contributions to the school. Financial aid grants cover 25% to 50% of annual tuition and fees, depending on financial need. In addition, all financial aid recipients receive a 50% discount on clubs, activities, student travel (including international trips), and school events with an entry fee. Before and After Care is also free for all financial aid recipients.

Through this program, NPES continues to uphold its core values by creating meaningful opportunities for students from a range of backgrounds, enriching the academic and social experience for all.
