This year, we are proud to focus on supporting our incredible educators through an exciting new initiative.

At NPES, exceptional educators create the foundation for student success. To nurture their continued growth and innovation, we’re proud to introduce LEAPP: Leaders Exploring a Professional Passion - a new enrichment grant program supporting transformative learning experiences for our faculty and staff.

LEAPP grants are designed to go beyond traditional workshops and conferences, encouraging applicants to pursue transformative learning experiences that align with our mission and educational philosophy. These may include innovative workshops, hands-on research, purposeful travel, or immersive learning tied to classroom themes.

Examples of LEAPP opportunities might include:

• Participating in summer institutes through programs like Harvard’s Project Zero, Columbia’s Teachers College, or Stanford’s YouCubed program
• Visiting historical or cultural sites relevant to curriculum topics that are not accessible locally
• Studying human development, wellness, equity, psychology, or emerging technologies with leading experts

This spring, we’ve launched $25K in 25 Days to raise $25,000 by May 16 in support of LEAPP. Thanks to the generosity of our 8th-grade families, the first $15,000 raised will be matched dollar-for-dollar through the 8th Grade Legacy Challenge Grant, doubling the impact of every gift.
