Ryan Coon

Ryan has two children at NPES, Danika (1st grade) and Brynn (Preschool 4). Ryan has spent the last 25 years in marketing for a variety of consumer packaged goods. For the last 10 years he has served on various advisory boards and works as a consultant for several start-up brands and the private equity firms that invest in them. Ryan loves being a part of the Dads' Club events and participating in all of his little girls' school activities. 

ERIC HOBERMAN

Eric and his wife, Kelly, have been a part of the NPES community for 5 years. Their two daughters are enrolled at the school - Samantha in 7th grade and Sarah in 2nd grade. Eric has worked in real estate development in Chicago for the past twenty years. He currently serves as the Executive Vice President of M. Fishman & Company, a real estate development and property management firm. Over his career he has overseen the acquisition, financing, construction/renovation, and management of dozens of properties in Chicago. He hopes to bring his experience of property and facilities management to the board to help us maintain our current facility and his development and construction experience to help us achieve Vision 2025.

 

BOB HOELLEN

Bob Hoellen is a licensed attorney at the law firm Hoellen and Hoellen and has served on the NPES Board as an Associate Director for several years. He now serves as an Honorary Board Member.

ian jipp

Ian Jipp is the Assistant Dean for Development at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.  He has over 20 years of experience in development and fundraising, working with a wide range of non-profit institutions, including independent schools. The Board feels very lucky that Ian has agreed to share his considerable expertise with NPES.

Matthew Lombardo

Matthew and his wife, Danielle, have two sons: Angelo will be entering 1st grade and Lorenzo will be entering PreK-3 this Fall. His cousins were graduates of NPES back when the school was still located in a church basement. Matthew has two master's degrees in Education, is a National Board Certified Teacher, and has worked in Education for 13 years. He is currently a principal in the northwest suburbs. His education background and experience will help NPES as we work to realize Vision 2025.

 

MAURINE MCADAMS

Maurine is a stay at home mom with three daughters at NPES. She spent 12 years at the Northern Trust Company working with large public pension funds. She focused on relationship management, portfolio analysis, and performance reporting. She currently volunteers with the Junior League of Chicago and Fourth Presbyterian Church. Maurine will serve as secretary of the board this year. 

 

VINCE MENEES

Vince has been a member of the NPES board since 2011. He has over 15 years experience in IT Consulting and an additional 7 years experience as a General Contractor focusing on residential development. Vince is currently focused on NPES' long-term technology goals and serves as one of the chairs for the Wired for Fun initiative. Vince’s son is a recent graduate of NPES and his daughter is in 3rd grade.

 

JONATHAN NOVY, board chair

Jonathan is a partner and founding member of Element Financial Partners, a financial planning firm. He works with both businesses and individuals on succession and estate planning issues. In addition, he uses his experience trading derivatives to help him and his clients best manage the risks they face in trying to accomplish both their wealth accumulation and distribution goals. Jonathan graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Chicago, and earned a graduate degree from Oxford University’s St. Catherine’s College. Jonathan and his wife Laura have two children at NPES, his daughter, Violet, is in 2nd grade.  

 

neepa patel, vice president

Neepa is the Chief Growth Officer at IPG, a health care services company. Over the past 20 years, Neepa has held a variety of leadership roles, including corporate strategy, business development and operations with growth stage and established health care organizations. Neepa graduated from Duke University and earned a graduate degree from University of Michigan. Neepa and her husband, Manish, have two children at NPES - Mili, 1st grade and Ojas, Kindergarten. 

 

rather stanton

Rather Stanton is the COO & co-founder of Legal Prep Charter Academy, Chicago's first and only legal-themed charter high school. In this role, Rather works on Legal Prep's strategic and organizational development, leads its fundraising efforts and external relations, and oversees its business and fiscal matters. Rather earned a BA in Economics and Politlcal Science from Lake Forest College and a JD from The John Marshall Law School. He and his wife Stephanie live in Ravenswood and look forward to getting to know the NPES community and supporting the school's vision for expansion and continued excellence.

 

robert verigan

Rob and his wife, Cara, joined the NPES community in 2011 when their son enrolled in the inaugural preschool class at North Park. Connor is now in 4th grade and their daughter, Mora, is in 2nd grade. Rob has worked in law and finance and currently serves as Managing Director and General Counsel of a local merchant bank that provides advice and capital to family- and found-led businesses. Previously, he worked as a corporate attorney focusing on mergers and acquisitions, board governance, and finance matters. Rob is a director of Alliance Laundry Systems and Lou Malnati's Pizzeria and a Fellow of the Class of 2013 of Leadership Greater Chicago. He received a BA from Duke University and a JD from The University of Chicago Law School.

ZACH WASILEW, treasurer

Zach and his wife Heather are proud NPES parents of Jacob (5th) and Aaron (4th). Zach has professional experience in real estate and education. He has helped plan, transact, and build schools. In working with charter schools, he has worked for and with non-profit boards running schools. Zach has participated in NPES events and activities:  biddy basketball, men's wine and steak auction party, and the Welles Park Brewers, an outpost of NPES kids enjoying learning baseball together.

 

Dana Weed

Dana Weed is an alumni NPES parent. Her daugher is a senior at Lane Tech High School and her son is a sophomore at Jones College Prep High School. Both of her children attended NPES from kindergarten through 8th grade. Dana has served the community in various ways as an NPES parent, including serving on the Board of Directors. She is a local business owner and member of the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce. She is excited to be an Associate Director as NPES continues to implement its strategic planning for Vision 2025.
